Owner/Director/Editor Jermaine Thomas

Jermaine received his A.A. from MCC Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, Mo. In 2013, Jermaine started Taishi Studios, which provides video editing services to the Kansas City Metro area. He got his start in film making at Avila University studying under Dr. Benjamin Meade and Nicole Esquibel. Jermaine served as both Producer and Editor for the film Optimistic Chaos shot and directed by Dr. Benjamin Meade. He has also served as cameraman on the film Kansas City Murder Factory directed by Kansas City native Mike B. Rollen. View my resume HERE

Executive Producer Benjamin Meade is an award winning film maker and owner of Cosmic Cowboy Studio. The son of a Baptist inner city minister, Benjamin Meade grew up in Kansas City. In 2004 he co-produced Confederate States of America (CSA) for director Kevin Willmott. CSA played Sundance was endorsed by Spike Lee and released theatrically by IFC Films. He recently began working extensively with Albert Maysles and produced THE KANSAS CITY MURDER FACTORY-ACT 1 for Mike B. Writer & Film Producer Lyle Gibson

Lyle Gibson is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City (MA History) and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (BA, History).  He teaches history in the Social and Behavioral Sciences department at the Metropolitan Community Colleges—Penn Valley.  He has lectured in Kansas and Missouri on various aspects of genealogy and African American family history.  Gibson holds memberships in several genealogical, genetic, lineage, and academic societies to include Midwest Afro-American Genealogy Interest Coalition, the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Gibson started working on an historical documentary with film makers Jermaine Thomas and Benjamin Meade.  The film Black Tie White Tie is an adaptation of Gibson’s book with the same title.  Gibson served as writer; voice over narrator; and producer for the film.  Gibson also work on the historical promotional on Western Baptist Bible College as producer; writer and narrator. In addition to his work as an author, historian, and college professor, Gibson has also worked as a musician, collaborating with musicians both nationally and internationally.  Gibson is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Jacquey Valentine is a Cinematographer based in Kansas City, Missouri. Jacquey has an eye for creating great images and stunning cinematography. He is the owner of The Labnificent Media Group through which he provides videography and other media services throughout the Kansas City metro area. He has worked on numerous projects including serving as lead cinematographer for a promotional series about the historical Western Baptist Bible College in Kansas City, Mo and the forth coming film “Legacy: Spirit of the Black Panthers.” .
